Grassroots.org is seeking a dynamic and energetic intern to assist with fundraising and development projects. The development projects will include both small-donor campaigns, grant research and writing. This opportunity will expose the intern to the different categories of nonprofit development and a portfolio of resources.

Internship Description:
He or she will provide support for the development department of Grassroots.org. Everyday tasks include foundation and grant research, donor outreach, updating the member and donor databases, assisting with setup and execution of fundraising initiatives and helping to keep up online fundraising & communications efforts (such as Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn). The applicant should be in school and have a commitment to grassroots organizations. The position is open until filled. Please note that this is an unpaid position.

• Experience with Microsoft Office programs
• Comfortable with website or desire to learn the following software/programs: Adobe Creative Suite, Salesforce, CRM, CMS, basic HTML
• Prior experience or dedication to fundraising/development projects
• Attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot one’s own work
• Excellent written and oral communications
• Strong self-starter in a team environment, as there may be the opportunity to work remotely/virtually.
