Grassroots.org is seeking a dynamic and energetic intern to assist with web development for fund raising efforts. Web Developers work closely with business users to define functional and technical requirements, develop, and test software.  This opportunity will expose the intern to the different categories of nonprofit development and a portfolio of resources.

Internship Description:
He or she will help in the development of web pages for Grassroots.org. An understanding of web-based applications and alternative design approaches is necessary. The applicant should be in school and have a commitment to grassroots organizations. The position is open until filled. Please note that this is an unpaid position.

• Experience with Microsoft Office programs
• Develop new Web applications as identified by management through packaged and customized applications.
• Perform complete testing of Web applications engaging users as necessary.
• Develop database-driven Web interfaces
• Prior experience or dedication to fundraising/development projects is a plus
• Attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot one’s own work
• Excellent written and oral communications
• Strong self-starter in a team environment, as there may be the opportunity to work remotely/virtually.
